'Emergency' Tours of Sicily. Funny name for a tour. A number of companies offering "mass tours" of Sicily for 2008 have cancelled their departures for lack of customers. This firm can sell you a good tour at a fair price if you're stuck with non-refundable flight tickets to Sicily but no tour, and they offer discounts too.

Market Cooking Classes in Palermo. Half-day classes based on traditional cuisine. Lessons begin with a trip to one of Palermo's street markets to find ingredients. Then you'll prepare lunch under the direction of a professional chef of one of Palermo's finest restaurants. We're often asked about cooking classes; this is one of the best and (as it's in Palermo) most convenient, and the city's outdoor markets are an experience in themselves.

Sicily Catamaran Charters. Catamaran service based in Cefalù east of Palermo. You may charter a skippered catamaran or skipper it yourself. Please note that this is not a 'touring' service; flat rates are the same whether your group includes six people or two.

Wines of Sicily. A good general guide to Sicilian wines and wineries, useful for visitors planning this kind of itinerary. As it is a non-commercial site, there's no promotion of one winery over another. In fact, it is the only Sicilian wine site of this kind presented entirely in English.
